Underwater Sounds is a free collection of underwater and deep ocean sound effects. It is an add-on to Lukas Tvrdon’s brand Space Divers sound library.
The free download link is located at the end of this article.
The Library – Free Underwater Sound Effects
Underwater Sounds contains 49 original sound effects that aren’t available in the main Space Divers release.
The library is inspired by space and underwater exploration, sci-fi movies, and Lukas’s work on audio effects for video games. You can use these sound effects in movies and other video projects, but they will also work great for music producers who want to add a taste of sci-fi to their projects.
Unlike our Water Sounds collection, which features recordings of ocean waves and river streams, Underwater Sounds focuses on deep-ocean atmospheres.
Underwater Sounds contains enough deep-water sound effects to create a simple story about a scuba diver or an astronaut. These samples represent the basic SFX categories: impacts, underwater moves, breathing, vehicle resonance, vehicle noises, and gear manipulation.
You can also find several underwater ambiance here, as a taster of Lukas Tvrdon’s previously released Dive Deep library.
The main difference is in size – the main Space Divers release offers ten times more content – around 8 GB of rich sound design variations, timbres, and ideas. It also features the additional “footsteps” and “tools” categories. What both libraries share is the sound design concept.
The release was also featured on the popular YouTube channel Cryo Chamber. Check out the linked video to hear Space Divers Mini in action.
How to use Underwater Sounds
Underwater sound effects can be used in various creative works, such as films, video games, music, and podcasts. You can use these free underwater audio recordings to add realism to underwater scenes, create a sense of tension or calmness, and enhance the overall atmosphere of the work.
For example, underwater bubbles and currents can create a sense of movement and flow. In a different context, underwater sounds can create tension in a horror or sci-fi movie scene.
Additionally, underwater sounds can be used to create unique soundscapes for meditation or relaxation purposes.
Of course, underwater sound effects can be added to any creative work that involves underwater scenes or themes. You can use our free underwater SFX to create a more immersive and engaging experience for your audience.

Have been trying for 2 days to download this, but been unable to. Tried Safari, Chrome & Firefox. Either download limit has been exceeded or a straight 429 from the server (Microsoft cloud does suck though).

Can’t open the file (WinRAR,7Zip,unzip,gzip) – seems broken.
As I stated in the other comment, I had the same issue, but updating to the latest 7Zip fixed it.
