Simply Space is a free collection of atmospheric pads and melodic hits crafted by Nigel Good, a brilliant electronic music producer from Waterloo, Canada.

The Library
Delivered straight from Nigel Good’s music studio, this exclusive royalty-free sound library features a diverse set of spacious melodic pads and emotional synth stabs with lush reverb tails.
The included sounds are perfect for adding depth and lively background textures to your music.
The included samples were designed to blend perfectly with all typical chords for a given key, meaning that you can layer them underneath your chord progressions and riffs, instantly adding depth and a sense of space to your mix. The sounds are sampled both at C and G, but you can easily transpose these sounds to fit any other key.
Each sound in the pack is available in several versions, so it’s super easy to add more variation to the project without duplicating the same background texture.
It’s also worth pointing out that these samples can be transformed into great-sounding tension builders and swooshes simply by reversing them in your DAW or audio editor of choice.

In addition to the original sample content in WAV format, the library also includes a set of 34 NKI patches which can be loaded in Native Instruments Kontakt 5.
There are two different types of NKI patches included in the pack. The two patches in the root folder (labeled “Simply Space (C)” and “Simply Space (G)”) provide an easy way to trigger all the included samples with your MIDI keyboard.
If you load the “Simply Space (C)” patch, all of the samples in the key of C will be mapped to the white keys on your MIDI controller. You can easily tune these to your project’s key by adjusting the “Transpose” setting on the NI Kontakt instrument panel.
The patches located in the “Samples” folder are more like traditional instrument patches, mapping each sample across the MIDI keyboard and making it playable like a standard pad or lead sound.
You can further shape these sounds using the on-screen controls for the filter cutoff and resonance, as well as the ADSR envelope for the volume.

Nigel Good is an electronic music producer whose work can be followed on his official SoundCloud page and YouTube channel, where he occasionally publishes some pretty neat music production tutorials and amazing music videos.

Simply Space contains 64 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format (48 kHz stereo). The library also includes a set of 34 NKI patches compatible with Native Instruments Kontakt 5 and above (the patches will work for 15 minutes only in the free Kontakt Player).
The included sample content is available for royalty-free use in music and video projects.

Thanks so much Nigel! This is one of the most exciting releases yet! These are really useful, and might I add that a good number of these ambient hits are actually usable as impulse responses in convolution reverbs. However, because the reverb tail contains tonal information, certain notes might clash with the harmony contained therein, but this can be a positive thing if you’re looking to create bizarre experimental atmospheres. Sometimes, dissonance is a good thing. Great job and thanks again :D
