    Project Exodus

    99SoundsBy 99SoundsNovember 18, 2015Updated:February 26, 202651 Comments2 Mins Read
Project Exodus free Kontakt instrument by Bryan Lake aka Sound Author.

Project Exodus is an epic free Kontakt library for electronic musicians, film score composers, sound designers, and anyone else looking to add that earth-shattering cinematic feel to their music or video projects.

The free download link is located at the end of this article.

Project Exodus – Free Cinematic Instrument for Kontakt

The library was crafted by Bryan Lake, aka Sound Author, the man behind our insanely popular Project Pegasus sound bank, released in November 2014 and downloaded over 50,000 times so far.

Project Exodus picks up where Project Pegasus left off, delivering an even larger collection of blockbuster movie-style atmospheres, pads, sound effects, and cinematic loops, all packed into a sophisticated, custom user interface for Native Instruments Kontakt.

The short introductory demo video embedded below should give you some idea about the type of sounds that you’ll find in this epic free sample collection.

The library has three subfolders containing soundscapes, instruments, and sequences.

The patches were tweaked and edited with great care, so all that’s left for you to do is load the instrument on your computer and enjoy the ride.

The included patches cover many cinematic pads, huge soundscapes, drones, drum loops, and epic sound effects. The looped sequences are labeled with BPM info for easier integration into your digital audio workstation of choice.

To load a patch, drag and drop the NKI file into Kontakt, or use the built-in file browser.

Please note that the full version of Kontakt is required to use the patches without a time limit (this is a limitation of Kontakt Player itself). The library also contains a set of standard 24-bit stereo WAV files with loop markers, extending the list of compatible software to virtually all digital audio workstations and sampler instruments on the market.

    The Artist

Bryan Lake, aka Sound Author, is a composer, sound designer, and journalist based in Florida. He crafted one of our most successful releases, the fantastic Project Pegasus cinematic sound library.

For more info about Bryan’s original approach to sound design, check out the interview in the Artist Spotlight section of our website and follow his Facebook page.

    Contents

Project Exodus contains 127 instrument patches for Native Instruments Kontakt 5. The NKI patches are based on a custom-scripted user interface that provides hands-on control over parameters like reverb, delay, filter, and distortion.

This is fantastic, i do so wish that some of the libraries had more then one pitch that they based the sample off of. However that being said, it does give me some insight on what a person could do with a single sample and then toss in Photosynthesis Engine to create out own pads. For that I am grateful! That you for making beautiful sound textures!

Same here, I was caught completely by surprise by how good single-sample patches can actually sound, back when I heard Bryan’s Project Pegasus for the first time.

Randomly came across this instrument. Decided to check it out and was instantly inspired by the sounds in the demo. Exactly the types of sounds I’m interested in. Huge, atmospheric, immersive, paints a picture, tells a story… Wonderful.

No, using these sounds for creating virtual instruments is against the license.

You’ll need the full version of Kontakt to use this without the demo time limit.

Hi! Thanks for the library, sadly the link is dead. It says “File not found”. Would you fix it, please?

Hi – I have the full version of contact. This times out as demo though. Am I doing something wrong or is there a fee to use? Thanks!
