Percussa Toolbox is an impressive free collection of percussion samples that were recorded and edited by Richard Gould.
The free download link is located at the end of this article.
The Library
Percussa Toolbox features a set of 89 royalty-free percussive hits, capturing the sound of various percussive instruments such as chimes, cymbals, rain sticks, ocean drums, and a thunder tube, among others.
The library is yet another fine example of Richard Gould’s brilliant sound design work, following the previously released The Warehouse sound pack. Percussa Toolbox provides a rich and versatile collection of percussive sounds that can be used as musical elements or foley sounds and eerie metallic sound effects.
Being more than just a simple collection of percussion hits, Percussa Toolbox provides an interesting set of SFX sounds that were created using some less common techniques, such as bowed cymbals, and some quite rare percussive instruments, such as the ocean drum and the thunder tube.
The library also contains an assortment of standard percussion samples featuring the sounds of shakers, cymbals, rain sticks, and chimes.
The Artist
All of the sounds included in the Percussa Toolbox sound library were recorded and edited by Richard Gould, who is also the author of The Warehouse sound collection, which you can download for free on our website.
You can find more examples of Richard’s sound design work on his official website, as well as his LinkedIn profile.
If you want to support Richard’s future sound design endeavors, consider making a donation via PayPal. If you’re looking for more free percussive hits, take a look at our 99 Drum Samples sound library.
Technical Details
Percussa Toolbox contains 89 percussion samples in 24-bit WAV format. The samples have been recorded and edited by Richard Gould. All included samples are 96 kHz stereo WAV files.
The library also includes an NKI instrument patch for NI Kontakt. Please note that the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt can load the provided NKI patch without any limitations.

Thank you very much. :-)
This is an amazing percussion samplepack. Hard to believe you are actually sharing this with us for free whereas you see other lesser quality samplepacks getting sold for 30 and 50$. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words! :)
Full credits for this awesome percussion pack go to Richard Gould, who made the samples and released them for free! Anyone interested in supporting his future work can send a donation directly to him (using the PP button above).
Thank you so much for giving this for free :D
This is pretty awesome thank you guys so much and big thanks to Richard!
These sound amazing! Kudos to Richard for making some really wonderful recordings! So many of today’s soundsets are made in softsynths and few sample packs offer real sounds. I’m especially impressed by the detail in the recordings. Richard must have some good quality microphones on-hand. I loved the Warehouse set! I can definitely get some serious mileage out of Percussa :)
Thanx always. Happy new year!
Aw yess !!!
WOW thank you so much for these samples guys.
Seems like a great sample pack! However, my download speed for the file is really slow (28.8kbps). Is there any way I can speed it up? Can’t wait to try it out. Thanks!
Hmm, that’s weird. Perhaps it was just a temporary drop in download speed. Could you please re-try the download and let me know if the problem persists?
Gracias che! Buenísimo! :)
Thank you very much for sharing. I’m sure it will be as good as the Warehouse library.
Thanks for this, people of 99.

You should extract the downloaded ZIP archive. Once extracted, you will see the WAV files (they work in any sampler) and the NKI patch for Kontakt.

A Huge Huge Thanks :D :)
Still can’t believe this is for free. Thanks a Lot!
Where did the sfz file go? I got sent to 404 land.
^ Me too!
Best cymbals I’ve come across and no skimping on quality. Thanks!
Great stuff! Thank you so much!
Thanks much……..
Thank you for making these. I made a small donation via PayPal. Some of them are quite good, but I don’t think you understand the principle of the thundertube. It’s supposed to make a sound like thunder, hence the name. But your recordings emphasized the sound of the spring. Just let the spring hang loose; the sound should come from the resonator, not the spring. Here’s a YouTube video which demonstrates a thundertube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyZkmjWAH10
Just my luck, Host not allowing downloads due to Monthly Upload limit maxed !
Any alternative? :-(
It will be reuploaded to a new host today. Sorry for the inconvenience!
New Host download worked, great stuff, it was no inconvenience, no need for apologies, many thanks :-)
Cheers! :)
Cant get any sound out of the files?
