Massamolla is a freel collection of one-shot drum hits, foley percussion sounds, and abstract sound effects created by Smhertz, a gifted sound designer and the mastermind behind the Silence+OtherSounds label.

Massamolla – Free “Springy” Percussion Samples
So, why is it called Massamolla?
Well, “massa molla” means “mass-spring” in Italian, and this really fits the mechanical and oddly machine-like nature of the included sounds.
A spring also resembles the shape of an audio waveform, so there you go. :)
Massamolla contains 99 audio samples in total (makes sense, right?) sorted into four different categories: bass riffs, melodic atmospheres, rhythmic loops, and one-shot samples.
The one-shots folder includes a selection of percussive hits and sound effects that were created by recording real-world objects such as doors, cans, and various pieces of furniture. These sounds were then digitally processed and transformed into their final shape.
The rhythmic loops were mostly synthesized and post-processed using a variety of digital effects to create original and yet unheard grooves and evolving sequences. These loops work equally great as standalone rhythmic sequences and layering loops for adding depth and movement to your raw drum tracks.
Last but not least, the included pads and textures sound utterly amazing. Pulsing across the stereo field and vibrating in all sorts of inspiring ways, enriched by wonderful lush reflections and swirling echoes, we’re sure you’ll be putting these mesmerizing soundscapes to good use in your audio projects.

Giuseppe Caiazzo, aka Smhertz, is a sound designer from Italy. His latest EP, titled Motus in Rebus, is definitely a recommended listen if you enjoy experimental electronic music that also has a strong sense of groove and rhythm. In addition, this EP will also give you a good idea about the type of sounds that you’ll find in Massamolla.

Massamolla contains 99 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format. The samples are organized into four folders for easy browsing. All included samples are 100% royalty-free.
